Doja Cat has been on everyone’s lips lately. Mainly due to her change of style in her latest videos, «Attention» and more recently, «Paint The Town Red.» Additionally, she unveiled a picture for her single «Demons,» which scared more than one with its cover.
Indeed, Doja has fully embraced an eerie aesthetic that permeates her entire image, extending to her music videos and social media presence.
Just a few days ago, she revealed the cover art for her upcoming album Scarlet, which featured a purplish arachnid and a small droplet of blood without any accompanying text. The artwork was created by the artist Dusty Ray.
It’s not surprising that Doja selected Ray for her artwork, as his style aligns with the eerie and somewhat gory vibe that matches Doja’s current aesthetic.
Interestingly, Ray also designed the cover art for the album Of Gloom by the metal band Chaver. Their cover features a representation of a purplish arachnid alongside a small dot, incorporating both the band’s name and the album title.

While Doja shared the announcement of the Scarlet album artwork a few days ago, Chaver revealed theirs on July 29. Adding a touch of irony, both albums are scheduled for release on September 22.
Considering this incident, Doja changed her cover to depict two dark brownish spiders that appear to be kissing, one larger than the other, yet both sharing a pearl-like back.
