Peso Pluma is taking the Mexican Regional genre to the top with his corridos tumbados. In a remarkably short span of time, he has ascended to the forefront of the most influential rankings, surpassing worldwide renowned artists such as Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and BTS. Not only is he already famous worldwide, but he even got invited to be a guest on Jimmy Fallon’s popular TV show, “The Tonight Show”, where he sang Ella Baila Sola.

He also performed at the 2023 Coachella festival together with Becky G.

After his success, Bad Bunny confessed that he is a fan of the «Double P» music, and he even stated that it reminds him of his own early days in the industry.

He also said that he is very happy about what is happening to him in his career, stating that he always identifies with kids like that they seem to come from nowhere and suddenly, they are in stardom as him.

It was like I was the same, I was a little boy who came from nowhere and then I was fulfilling a dream. So, it kind of makes me happy, like that time I was happy, that joy brings me joy» he recalled.

The “Me Porto Bonito” singer highlighted that what he likes about Peso Pluma’s corridos is his genuineness, from the concept of its music to his voice, and the passion he puts into his songs.

This isn’t the first time the Puerto Rican artist has shown his love for Mexican regional music. A clear example of this is his collaboration with Grupo Frontera with the song “Un x100to”, which has been incredibly popular since its release.
