Anuel Tags Karol G in New Drop ‘Mejor Que Yo’

We have previously stated that releasing breakup hits is the new fashion. However, getting to the point that directly tagging your ex in the song is something that we did not expect. However, Anuel AA never stops to leave us speechless when it comes to trying to get Karol G’s attention. 

The Puerto Rican artist has just drop ‘Mejor Que Yo’ a song loaded with lots of intentions but the main one is leaving clear that he is much better than Karol G’s new boyfriend, which according to the several media outlets, turns out to be the Colombian hitmaker Feid. However, they have never publicly confirmed this relationship.

“ #MejorQueYo 👹 Te la dedico bebe 😘😘😘😘😘 @karolg”, has written Anuel in the caption of the Instagram post announcing the new song.

In fact, this is not the first time Anuel has tried to get Karol G’s attention. He recently released a song called ‘Exxx’ with similar tones and lyrics as his new song. At his latest concert in Orlando, he even performed ‘Secreto’ and mentioned Karol G in a verse of ‘Amacene’ in his latest concert in Orlando, which surprised the audience

Until now, the last thing we knew about Anuel AA’s intimate life was that he was married to the Dominican rapper Yailin La Más Viral, with whom he recently became a father.

Mutual ‘Tiraera’

Karol G has not yet commented on Anuel’s latest attempt to get her attention. Maybe she is currently busy making records and selling out shows on her U.S. Stadium Tour. However, it’s clear that she made her feelings known in ‘TQG’ (short for ‘I’m out of your league’) featuring Shakira. The song is a part of her history-making Mañana Será Bonito, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

“Tell your new babe I don’t compete for men”, “I don’t repeat mistakes’, “Seeing you with ‘the new one’ hurted me, but I’m already focusing on myself”, “Making money as sport”, “Getting back with you? Never”, are some of the verses present in the collab. In case anyone still has any doubts, both Colombian artists hit the memories of their previous relationships stating they are not willing to go back to them, crowning themselves as the empowered urban queens on the scene.

However, the central message in this new drop is quite different. Anuel’s feeling of spite is not so much for his ex per se or for a stormy breakup, but because he can’t be with her and he engages in a barrage of unkind words for her current partner. The chorus perfectly sums up the feelings conveyed in this song, albeit in an unkind tone:

We are expecting to see what will happen in the next few hours, although it is not clear to us that this new release will have a public response. For the moment, neither Anuel, Karol nor Feid have made any further comments.
